Prince Harry breaks silence after he’s reprimanded in bombshell charity report | Royal | News

The commission did not find evidence of bullying at Sentebale, as had been previously claimed by Sophie Chandauka.

Although “no evidence” of bullying or harassment was found, a spokesman said: “The regulator has criticised all parties to the dispute for allowing it to play out publicly, and further concluded that the then trustees’ failure to resolve disputes internally severely impacted the charity’s reputation and risked undermining public trust in charities more generally.”

As reported by the Times, a source close to Harry has now criticised the report. They have said that the royal was “devastated that the chair has been allowed to succeed with a hostile takeover”.

As well as Harry, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho – who co-founded the charity with Harry – and all the trustees departed in solidarity.

Sentebale was founded to help young people and children in southern Africa, particularly those living with HIV and Aids.

It was set-up in honour of Harry’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry said in a statement last April: “From the inception of Sentebale nearly 20 years ago, Prince Seeiso and I have had a clear goal: to support the children and young people in Southern Africa in memory of our mothers. What has transpired over the last week has been heartbreaking to witness, especially when such blatant lies hurt those who have invested decades in this shared goal. No one suffers more than the beneficiaries of Sentebale itself.”
