Prince Harry was spotted playing volleyball in Nigeria as fans excitedly cheered for him.

Both he and his wife, Meghan Markle, were greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the crowd as they made their appearance at a sports centre in Abuja.

Fans eagerly snapped selfies with the royal couple amidst the sweltering 33C heat during an event associated with the Invictus Games on Sunday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were both spotted watching the sitting volleyball game before Harry decided to join in the match.

It comes just two days after Prince William was photographed playing volleyball during his visit to Fistral Beach in Newquay on Thursday.

William’s journey to the Isles of Scilly on Friday took place on the same day that Meghan and Harry kicked off their tour of Nigeria.

After Harry finished playing the game, Meghan joined the group photo with the volleyball teams.

A nine-year-old girl who spoke to Meghan at the event said: “She [Meghan] said Prince Harry loves to play volleyball and that he’s very good at it.

“And she asked me if I play volleyball in my school. And I said yes.”

The couple’s tour of Nigeria comes following a brief visit back to his home country for Harry.

He touched down in London on Tuesday and took part in an event for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games held at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday.

The following day, he flew from Heathrow to Nigeria where he was joined by his wife.
