Princess Kate lets slip sweet rule she has for George, Charlotte and Louis’ clothes | Royal | News
The Princess of Wales shared that she has an “archive” of her children’s outgrown clothes during a visit to the Corgi textile factory in South Wales.
The royal, 43, shares two sons and one daughter – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six – with her husband, Prince William.
Kate stepped out for an engagement in South Wales last week, with her own paternal family having a background in textiles.
Making the sweet revelation, Kate shared that she has chosen to keep George, Charlotte and Louis’s clothes that “wore really well”, as revealed by PEOPLE.
Kate, who has long been a proponent of sustainable fashion and re-wears, added: “It’s so lovely to re-use the things that are well made.”
As reported by the Mirror, Kate’s brother James, 37, also previously revealed that his sisters both gave him huge amounts of clothing after the birth of his son, Inigo, now aged one.
Revealing in his memoir, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life, James wrote: “”We are an affectionate and close-knit family and there are lots of hugs and laughter. Catherine and Pippa bring two big suitcases of hand-me-down clothes, so Inigo’s cupboards are full of sweet little outfits his cousins — even the girls — have worn.”
The proud father also added that while the clothes seemed “enormous” for his son at the time, he didn’t realize that Inigo would quickly grow and “fit them in a blink”.
George and his siblings are also known to have worn hand-me-downs, with Louis having previously worn his father’s sailor suit for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Charlotte, then aged two, wore what appeared to be a pair of Prince Harry’s red buckle-up shoes while on a royal tour of Germany and Poland in 2017.
