Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan’s revisit to Invictus Games | Royal | News

Meghan’s flying visit to join her husband Prince Harry at the Invictus Games has been a touching reminder of how the couple first became ‘official’ at the event.

The Duke and Duchess reunited in Dusselfdorf, Germany, for the 2023 games six years after they were seen as boyfriend and girlfriend at the staging of another Invictus in Canada in 2017.

Before marriage, children, books and Netflix series, the loved-up pair were first photographed together at the sporting gathering in Meghan’s beloved Canada, and the Duchess’s wardrobe choice may have hinted at things to come.

According to the Mail Online the white shirt she wore back then was a £221 piece called ‘The Husband’ designed by her friend Misha Nonoo, whose former partner attended Eton with Princes William and Harry.

The pair looked relaxed and happy in photographs from the time, with Meghan completing her look with jeans, sunglasses and an oversized brown bag.

Fast-forward to 2023 and the Sussexes have made a star appearance at the Invictus Games once again, enjoying an event that offers no end of great photo opportunities and genuine chances to interact with competitors at an occasion very close to Harry’s heart.

Meghan travelled from the Sussexes’ home in California to the German city, where Harry had been at the sporting event for wounded military personnel and veterans since Saturday night.

It is likely that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is looking after the Sussexes’ young children Archie and Lilibet at their home in Montecito, California.

Harry was pictured earlier on Tuesday sharing a joke with TV presenter and Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers during the wheelchair basketball competition, after taking part in some “seat dancing”.

On Monday, Harry, the founding patron of the Invictus Games, warmly embraced a wheelchair rugby player by kissing him on the head.
