Royal Family fans have gathered along the route to church at the Sandringham estate ahead of King Charles’s arrival.
Spotted in Norfolk, fans have been pictured lining the route. The delighted fans will all be eager to catch a glimpse of members of the Royal Family as they make their way to St Mary Magdalene Church.
Following the late Queen’s annual tradition, the Royal Family are spending the festive period in Norfolk. The King and Queen are hosting for members of the Royal Family – as well as Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles.
As one of the royal most treasured Christmas Day traditions, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children are set to follow the King and Queen on walk to the church.
Other royals such as Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence and Zara Tindall and her family are also set to join the King and Queen today.
Today’s highly anticipated appearance from the Princess of Wales has been deemed a “huge moment” as the royal leaves behind a “brutal” year following her cancer journey.
The 42-year-old was diagnosed with cancer earlier year and has spent most of the year, bar a few appearances, away from the spotlight as she underwent treatment.
Much like his beloved daughter-in-law, King Charles was also diagnosed with cancer this year. The 76-year-old is still undergoing treatment, although Kate announced the end of her treatment in September.
Although he has made several appearances this year despite his health, King Charles has been forced to give up two of his beloved traditions this Christmas.
The King, 76, has reportedly unable to ski and visit Romania this year due to his ongoing treatment.
Sources have revealed a positive update on the King’s cancer treatment, sharing that it is “moving in a positive direction”.
Stating that his treatment will continue into 2025, a Buckingham Palace insider recently told Sky News: “His treatment has been moving in a positive direction, and as a managed condition, the treatment cycle will continue into next year.”
