Samsung is about to make your current TV look massively inferior

It’s almost the start of 2026, and that means one thing in the technology calendar – a bunch of stunning new TVs are on their way. All of the major manufacturers will unleash shiny upgrades during January’s CES show in Las Vegas, and it seems some big updates are on their way once again. Samsung has just given the world a sneak peek at what will be unveiled in Sin City next month, and the Korean firm’s latest screens look set to take things up yet another notch.

It’s been confirmed that a swathe of Micro RGB televisions are coming soon, which will all offer advanced features and new enhancements that will elevate the picture performance across colour and overall clarity. In fact, Samsung is promising that these upgrades will “set a new standard for premium home viewing.”

Samsung is no stranger to showcasing new Micro RGB screens. Earlier this year, it revealed a ludicrously big 110-inch model at the IFA event in Berlin. That’s a telly Express.co.uk called ‘mesmerising’ when we saw a demo in Germany.

That huge panel took the show by storm, and luckily, you won’t need a footballer’s mansion to take delivery of the new Micro RGB televisions launching soon.

Samsung says it will offer screens in sizes including 55”, 65”, 75”, 85”, 100”, along with the 110” version.

So what’s so good about this new technology?

Samsung’s Micro RGB is built on Samsung’s proprietary Micro RGB Technology. This arranges individually controlled red, green and blue micro RGB LEDs in an ultra-fine pattern behind the panel. Unlike conventional backlighting, the latest architecture enables precision control over each red, green and blue RGB LED.

To further boost performance, enhanced picture-processing technologies will also be included, featuring the all-important 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro. These are able to refine brightness, smooth out motion and add clarity in real time – that means owners should get a perfect picture even when watching live sport or action movies.

The upcoming tellies will also get a next-generation AI chipset that enables more precise frame-by-frame clarity and realism. I

Plus, there’s a function called Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro, which provide a vivid colour experience that makes viewing content feel as real as seeing it in person.

Finally, the new screens get Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology. This minimises reflections to further preserve clear colour and contrast for the best viewing experience.

“With Samsung’s latest technology, our Micro RGB portfolio delivers vivid colour and clarity that make movies, sports and TV shows feel more expressive and engaging,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “By expanding the line-up for 2026, we’re establishing a new premium category with sizes that span the full range of modern living spaces while maintaining our highest picture standards.”

A first look at these new TVs will be offered in Las Vegas, and Express.co.uk will be making the trip to Nevada to bring you all the latest news, including these Micro RGB updates from Samsung. Watch this space.
