Samsung might have only just launched its latest Galaxy S26 range of premium devices, but now the Korean technology giant is back with an update that’s a little more affordable. The new Galaxy A57 and A37 start from just £399, which is half the price of the recently released flagship Galaxy S26. Although the cost is far lower, it doesn’t mean these devices get bargain basement features with them packing a pretty impressive punch.

First up, there’s the cheaper Galaxy A37 (£399), which gets a huge 6.7-inch 120Hz screen, premium design and full access to fast 5G downloads.

Then there’s the A57 (£529), which also gets a 6.7-inch display but packs a faster Exynos processor, more memory and a sleek slimline look that’s covered in metal and glass.

Both phones get a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging and are IP68 water and dust resistance which means they can survive a dip in the bath.

One of the most important features of any smartphone is the camera system and Samsung is promising that these devices will shoot improved images during the day and night.

The A37 gets a triple lens snapper with an 8MP Ultra-Wide Camera, 50MP Wide Camera and 5MP Macro Camera. The A57 takes things up a level with a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera. This more expensive device also gets enhanced image processing that sharpens detail and reduces noise.

For those who want it in their life, there’s also plenty of AI trickery included. The A37 and A57 can find things on the web with Google’s Circle to Search, and retouch photos with features such as Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions, helping users quickly refine and share moments without too much effort.

Voice Transcription is also included and is new to the Voice Recorder app. This update makes it easier to revisit important details from meetings, lectures or calls by quickly transcribing and translating call recordings or turning voicemail audio into text.

One final bonus is better longevity. The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G offer up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with up to six years of security updates

Samsung says the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available on Samsung.com from April 10th, with Galaxy A57 5G price starting from RRP £529 (256GB) and Galaxy A37 5G starting from RRP £399 (128GB).

Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue and Awesome Lilac, while Galaxy A37 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.

“Getting AI into the hands of more people matters just as much as pushing the boundaries of what it can do,” said Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing, Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division. “By combining Samsung’s fundamental capabilities with Awesome Intelligence, the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G delivers everyday performance to our customers whilst demonstrating the benefit of AI.”
