Sarah Ferguson’s three word reaction as she repeatedly snubs huge reality show | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Sarah Ferguson has opened up about her TV ambitions revealing the show she would love a part on and the one she has repeatedly turned down. The Duchess of York has become a regular on screens in recent times and has guest hosted both This Morning and Loose Women on ITV.

However she has revealed she would never appear on the channel’s flagship reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here despite being asked numerous times. “I’ve been asked to go on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ hundreds of times, and the answer is always no. I’m sure it’s lovely for lots of people, but not for me!” she admitted.

It appears she has her sights set on something a little more elegant than the jungle. The 64-year-old confessed she is desperate for a role in Bridgerton.

Not only that she has already plotted out how she could join the regency era set hit Netflix show. “I’ve asked my agent to get me on Bridgerton!

“The set designs are incredible! I could be a long-lost friend for Penelope. I just have to be on ‘Bridgerton!’” she told the latest edition of Platinum magazine as she appears as their cover girl.

She has clearly caught the acting bug after she made a cameo appearance playing a Duchess in the TV movie An American in Austen, which was released earlier this year.

“I’ve already had five lines in An American in Austen, which is a TV show about this American girl that dives into Austenland where she meets Mrs Bennett and the daughters who arrive at the ball to meet the Duchess, who’s me.

“I’m in my big dress. ‘Oh, good evening, Mrs Bennett…’” she enthused.

The role was an appropriate one for Fergie who, just like Jane Austen, is no stranger to the world of romantic fiction.

She has her own Mills & Boon series based on her great aunt, Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott.

The books take the reader from Queen Victoria’s court to 1870s New York, and to Scotland and Ireland.

The latest book in the series A Most Intriguing Lady sees the character meet a distinguished and extremely handsome war veteran with whom she forms an unlikely alliance to solve a series of audacious crimes.

Fergie says it is similar to her creation as they are both “acutely observant and fascinated by people”.
