The Easter school holidays are fast approaching (that is, if your kids or grandkids haven’t already broken up), and before you know it, the even longer summer holidays will be here too. That means one thing for many families: finding ways to keep everyone entertained without spending a small fortune.

A theme park is usually a safe bet, whether you’ve got little ones, teenagers, or you’re just a big kid yourself looking for an excuse to race to the rides with friends. But days out like these can quickly add up, especially at some of the UK’s biggest names like Alton Towers or Thorpe Park. That’s why a good deal always feels like a win, and right now there are some solid savings to be had on group ticket bookings with Virgin Experience Days.

You can save as much as 27% on ticket bundles for up to four people, and the best part is you don’t have to use them straight away. So even if you’re planning ahead, you can lock in the savings now. Just don’t hang about because the deal is only available until April 7, 2026.

How does the Virgin Experience Days deal work?

It’s all pretty straightforward. You pay for the experience you want, and the voucher along with all the details lands in your inbox. If you’re feeling generous, you can send it straight to someone else as a gift too—perfect for birthdays or surprises. After that, it’s simply a case of checking the details, booking your date, and getting ready for the day out.

Thorpe Park – save 26%

Thorpe Park is one of the UK’s biggest theme parks, tucked away in Surrey and packed with adrenaline-pumping rides. There are 25 attractions to dive into, including Hyperia, reportedly the UK’s tallest and fastest coaster, alongside big names like The Swarm, SAW, Nemesis Inferno and Colossus. If you fancy getting soaked, there are water rides too—Tidal Wave sends riders plunging 85ft into the water below, while Vortex spins you 65ft up in the air. And when you need a breather, there are plenty of attractions and games dotted around the park to keep the fun going at a slightly slower pace.

Right now, as part of the Virgin Experience Days deal, customers can save 26% on the price of ticket bundles.

If you buy now, tickets are valid until December 31, 2026 within the park’s standard opening times. It’s worth keeping in mind that Thorpe Park closes for the winter season from November, with a few themed dates popping up in December. Some rides may be closed during this time, and the park can also shut midweek on certain dates, so it’s always a good idea to check before you go.

The tickets give you full-day access. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult, and some rides have restrictions.

In a review, one customer who booked the experience with Virgin Experience Days said: “The experience was at Thorpe Park, so I knew what to expect. The codes were very easy to download and use. No issues at all.”

Another said: “Very fun, and not long queues either.”

Alton Towers – save up to 28%

Alton Towers is the UK’s largest theme park and easily one of its most famous. Spread across more than 500 acres in Staffordshire, it blends high-speed thrills with landscaped gardens and historic architecture (the park itself grew around the original Alton Towers estate). The mix gives it a slightly different feel to other parks, where you can go from fast rides to a relaxed wander through beautiful surroundings in the same afternoon. It’s best known for its rollercoasters like Nemesis, Oblivion and The Smiler (which holds the record for the most inventions on a rollercoaster).

There’s plenty for younger visitors too. Themed areas like CBeebies land are designed with little ones in mind, bringing popular BBC characters to life. Plus, there’s a water park and on-site accommodation, so it’s easy to turn a day out into a full mini break.

Vouchers are valid until December 31, 2026, and bookings can be made during the park’s open season. Like many theme parks, it closes for the winter from November, with a handful of themed days in December, so it’s always worth checking the website before you travel. Occasionally, the park also closes midweek.

The experience is a full-day event, and those under 90cm can join you free of charge.

You can also book direct via the Alton Towers website, though you won’t get the Virgin Experience Days discount.

Chessington World of Adventures isn’t just a theme park; it’s also home to a zoo, which makes for a day out that mixes rides with wildlife encounters. Designed with families, especially those with younger children, in mind, the park features themed lands that take you from jungle trails to mystical kingdoms, each packed with rides, shows and interactive attractions.

Alongside roller coasters and water rides, you can wander through the zoo or explore the SEA LIFE centre, which helps break up the day and adds a little something different.

The tickets include entry to the theme park, zoo and SEA LIFE centre. Vouchers are valid until December 31, 2026, and bookings can be made during the park’s open season. It’s best to check the website before travelling, as the park can sometimes close midweek.

The experience is a full-day event, and those under 90cm can join you free of charge.

In a review, one guest who booked Chessington World of Adventures through Virgin Experience Days said: “Great family day out for young teenage kids, Zoo and Sealife helped break up the day for us parents.”

Another said: “I was bought this for my 16th birthday and I had an amazing day with a friend, it wasn’t just a great birthday gift, it was also a great way to celebrate finishing my GCSES, I will have the memories of this day with me always, loved it!”

You can also book direct via the Chessington World of Adventures website, though you will not get the Virgin Experience Days discount.

LEGOLAND Windsor – save up to 26%

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is a family theme park built around the colourful world of LEGO, making it a really good pick for kids aged 12 and under (although big kids who love LEGO will have just as much fun). Just outside Windsor, the park is filled with interactive rides, shows and familiar characters, with entire scenes built from life-size LEGO bricks.

It’s split into themed areas like pirate zones, adventure lands and medieval kingdoms, each one designed to spark a bit of imagination. The rides lean more towards family fun than big thrill-seeker moments, so it’s all about enjoying the experience together. There are also themed hotels on-site, making it easy to extend your visit into a short break.

The tickets include entry to the theme park, and vouchers are valid until December 31, 2026, with bookings available during the park’s open season. As with the others, it’s worth checking ahead before travelling as the park can occasionally close midweek.

The experience is a full-day event, and those under 90cm can join you free of charge.

One customer who booked using Virgin Experience Days said: “Booking tickets through Virgin Experience was good. We got tickets at a good price, and everything went very smoothly on the day.”
