Simple way to get bestselling Kindle upgrade for much less than usual
Being able to store hundreds or thousands of books on one device you can carry around has been a reality for many years thanks to the Amazon Kindle e-reader range. They’re very convenient and have great battery life, but the latest models can get rather pricey.
Luckily there is an offer right now that will save you a chunk on the latest and greatest Kindle Paperwhite. You can currently pick up the 16GB model for just £99.99 in a “limited time deal”.
This is the newest version of the Paperwhite, and is being sold for 31 percent less than the usual £143.99 price. It’s a certified refurbished model, which means it has been bought and returned to Amazon, so it can’t be sold as new stock.
But Amazon guarantees you’ll get a near-pristine, fully working device. It is a way of picking up the Paperwhite for far less than its RRP, which for a new model is £159.99. Going with an official refurbished model is an easy way to save £60.
“Certified Refurbished means the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite has been returned to Amazon, professionally inspected, tested, and restored to like-new condition,” Amazon says via its Rufus AI chatbot on the Kindle’s listing page.
“Since its debut in 2012, customers have made Kindle Paperwhite our best-selling Kindle – and the all-new Kindle Paperwhite is our fastest yet,” Amazon said on this device’s release back in October 2024.

Available for £99.99 in black, green or pink versions, the Kindle has an excellently sharp 7-inch screen with uniform frontlight for reading in low light or even pitch black. You can even adjust the white balance of the screen so it’s more comfortable to read, and the battery is rated to last up to 12 weeks on a single charge.
Not only that, but the Kindle Paperwhite is waterproof, so it should survive and accidental dunk in the pool or bath, and is certainly able to be used with wet hands – no more curled pages on those paperbacks.
All you need to do when you get it is charge it up via USB-C and connect to your home Wi-Fi. Then you can visit the Kindle Store to buy and download books to your heart’s content.
One thing to note is this Kindle comes ‘With Ads’, which means it will display ads for other books on the lockscreen. This is a bit of an annoyance, but if you’d don’t mind, this latest Kindle Paperwhite for £99.99 is as good a price as you are likely to see – and it’ll last you for years to come.
