Anyone with Sky will find channel change is on its way. The end of the F1 season is hotting up to be one of the most exciting in years, with Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen all in contention to take home the driver’s championship. Things will come to a climax in Abu Dhabi on December 7, and once that final race is finished, the action won’t start again until the spring of 2026. That means the Sky Sports F1 channel is pretty much redundant for a few months, and Sky is making sure the on-screen action doesn’t stop.

In fact, from 10 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, Sky Sports F1 is changing to Sky Sports Darts on channel 407.

In an email seen by Express.co.uk, Sky confirmed, “We are reaching out to let you know about a special, temporary change to Sky Sports that will bring you even more exciting live sports action this festive season.

“From 10 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, Sky Sports F1 is changing to Sky Sports Darts on channel 407, giving you the chance to catch all the action of the PDC World Darts Championship live.

“And come 6 January, channel 407 will seamlessly return to Sky Sports F1, ready for the upcoming season.”

If you subscribe to Sky Sports, you shouldn’t need to do anything with the change happening automatically.

The channel is scheduled to switch on December 10 and then return to F1 from January 5.

This update comes as Sky also recently announced a massive boost for anyone who subscribes to Sky Kids.

Disney Jr content has just been added at no extra cost and means those with a Sky Kids package will be able to watch shows such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Bluey and RoboGobo without having to pay anything extra. It’s a big boost that adds hours of extra content to devices, including Sky Glass and Sky Q.

“Sky is turning up the fun with arrival of Disney Jr. – a kids’ TV channel packed with shows for children aged 2-6, available from the 13 November as part of the Sky Kids package,” Sky explained.

“The channel joins Sky Kids, which gives families 24/7 access to top kids’ TV shows full of on-screen heroes. With the addition of Disney Jr., it offers families 10 fun filled live channels, including the ad-free Sky Kids channel, Nick Jr., and Cartoon Network, plus kids’ shows on demand.”
