Snoop Dogg sparks wild scenes at Swansea as warm-up halts for co-owner | Football | Sport
Following a striking arrival earlier in the day, Snoop was presented to the Jack Army, with each supporter receiving a commemorative Snoop Dogg-themed towel, which they were encouraged to wave overhead before the fixture against Preston North End. The fans enthusiastically complied, generating a wave of white as Snoop Dogg appeared, accompanied by appropriately extravagant pyrotechnics. Snoop then completed a lap of the pitch surrounded by his substantial entourage, periodically pausing to sign autographs for supporters in the stands as he progressed around the ground.
He was greeted with performances of ‘Hymns and Arias’, along with the customary chants of ‘You Jack *******’, and ‘Snoop Dogg’s Barmy Army’ from the fans, who were evidently savouring the moment as much as he was. At one point, substitute goalkeeper Andy Fisher even had to interrupt his warm-up to allow the large group to complete its circuit of the pitch.
The scene was one of organised chaos, with Snoop later taking photos with mascot Cyril the Swan in front of a small group of travelling supporters. He even appeared to gesture towards the away end before heading back down the pitch and into the tunnel.
The grin on his face indicated he was thoroughly enjoying himself, and he waved his white towel to the crowd as a final salute, marking an evening that fans are unlikely to ever forget.
