Spain is one of the UK’s top holiday destinations and it’s not hard to see why. From beaches to Gaudi and paella, there’s something for everyone.

In 2022, around 15 million Britons travelled to Spain and the rush shows no signs of slowing down.

But where is the cheapest destination to fly to in March?

In an exclusive experiment for, I searched for the cheapest destinations to fly to in Spain on Skyscanner.

From hip city breaks to beach hopping, Brits can reach Spain for less than £30 per person in March.


I found flights to Barcelona for £26 return from London and under £40 return from Bristol and Birmingham.

Spain’s top city break destination, Barcelona has something for everyone. From Gaudi’s incredible houses and stunning Parc Guell to the city beach, there’s so much to do.

In March temperatures can soar as high as 17 degrees in the Spanish city, making it a fantastic destination for a spot of spring warmth.

Santiago de Compostela

Britons can reach Santiago de Compostela from £27. The northern city is the capital of Spain’s Galician region.

Rumoured to have the country’s best food, Santiago de Compostela is the end of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route.

The city’s old town centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ideal spot for a leisurely wander.


I found flights to Palma, the capital of Majorca, for £30 return from London and under £40 from Birmingham and Bristol.

Temperatures can reach 18 degrees in March so Britons could be lucky enough to get some beach weather.

Tourists can also enjoy historic sites such as the Santa Maria cathedral or head out to explore the island’s beautiful countryside.
