Summer Game Fest start time and stream – Elden Ring DLC, Fortnite Season 3, Mortal Kombat | Gaming | Entertainment

Move over E3, because the Summer Game Fest is back for another year of game announcements, gameplay reveals, and updates. The Summer Game Fest takes place at 8pm BST UK time on the evening of June 8. The show is expected to run for a couple of hours, meaning it will finish around 10pm BST. If you want to watch the action unfold live, simply click play on the YouTube embed below. In terms of what fans can expect, Summer Game Fest organiser Geoff Keighley has confirmed that the new season of Fortnite will make an appearance during the event.

Fortnite Season 3 – which is titled Fortnite Wilds – will be released in full on June 9. Fans can expect the cinematic trailer, gameplay footage or Battle Pass round-up to premiere during the show. 

“Just Announced for Summer Game Fest on Thursday!” reads an Epic tweet. “World premiere first look at Fortnite WILDS, the new season of Fortnite.”

The recently announced Mortal Kombat reboot will also make an appearance during the show. After last month’s cinematic trailer, MK developer NetherRealm has announced plans to unveil the first gameplay footage for the upcoming game.

“Your future is yours and yours alone. Don’t let your past hold you back. Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay reveal in two days.”

Other games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 have been announced, while the new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion and Death Stranding 2 are tipped to appear.

Needless to say, rumours are running rife about what else will be shown during the event.

Elden Ring fans are crossing fingers and toes that FromSoftware reveals more about the previously announced Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Then there are the rumours that Konami will unveil a brand new Castlevania game or two. Likewise, it’s possible we’ll finally be treated to Silent Hill footage from the upcoming releases.

It’s also that time of year when Activision announces the new Call of Duty, and EA shows off its upcoming sports games.
