Nine people have died, 821 injured and 127 are trapped after a huge earthquake rocked Taiwan that saw entire buildings collapse and a tsunami warning for Japan triggered.
The massive 7.4 magnitude tremor hammered Taiwan’s east coast on Wednesday morning in what was the with the strongest earthquake in 25 years.
President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan has ordered her team to “immediately” respond and “provide necessary assistance, and work together with local governments to minimise the impact of the disaster.”
Japan also warned of a 10-foot tsunami that is expected to hit its southwestern coast.
