The beautiful UK beach people are ‘shocked’ to discover | UK | Travel
This award-winning beach, which has an overall rating of 4.5 on TripAdvisor, has left visitors shocked by how stunning it is.
Littlehampton is a small town in Sussex. Its beach has been ranked as one of the top three things to do at the seaside resort and dubbed “one of the best in Sussex.”
The gorgeous pebble beach has 155 reviews from people who are shocked at what it has to offer.
One review reads: “I was shocked at how beautiful this beach is. There is a large expanse of sand when the tide is out, so there is plenty of room to swallow people up, and it is perfect for a relaxing walk to soak up some fresh air.”
Despite people being surprised by the stunning beach, it seems that the beach isn’t short of visitors, with some reviewers mentioning just how busy the beach can get, especially when the weather is warmer and on the weekends.
A reviewer said: “Clean beach busy but friendly, we stayed whilst the big wheel was in town which offered some great views nice little beach.”
The beach was recommended as worth visiting even in colder periods of the year. The visitor who made a trip in February said: “Great place to visit any time of year, even in winter. Good for short/long seaside walks.”
Littlehampton Beach also houses Britain’s longest beach.
Built in 2010, the bench, designed by Studio Weave, was inspired by many things; one was that a schoolchild who visited the beach wanted somewhere on the seafront where they could all sit together.
Now, the 324-metre-long bench can seat over 300 people and has 9,000 multicoloured slats engraved with hundreds of personal messages.
Littlehampton is not short of recognition. On its beachfront, it houses the award-winning East Beach café, which serves fresh seafood and offers an incredible view of the beach from the inside of a beautifully designed building.
