This year’s must-have retro gaming gift is here – pre-order Evercade Nexus 64 Edition now | Gaming | Entertainment
Retro gaming fans can pre-order one of this year’s must-have gadgets that launches just in time for Christmas. After a mysterious teaser or two, Blaze Entertainment has finally revealed the Evercade Nexus, which is a new and improved handheld console that offers superior functionality and specs. It also comes with a brand new double-pack cartridge containing N64 classics Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie.
Launching in October, the regular Evercade Nexus will be available to pre-order at a cost of £169.99 from April 1.
Priced at £189.99, the Nexus 64 Edition is limited to just 2,000 units, which makes it hugely collectible.
The Nexus 64 Edition has a unique colour scheme reminiscent of the N64 console and controller.
It also comes with a collectible clamshell case for the Banjo-Kazooie cartridge, as well as a carry case, screen protector, double-sided poster and certificate of authenticity.
The regular edition features all of the same functionality, just with a plain black colour scheme and none of the bonus items.
The console itself features a set of dual analogue sticks, not to mention a superior 5.89-inch IPS display.
The improved display and dual analogue support makes it ideal for playing games like Doom, Duke Nukem, Tomb Raider and the newly announced Banjo-Kazooie double-pack.
The handheld also supports the newly announced EverSync local multiplayer function, which connects two Nexus devices for local multiplayer. Better yet, you only need one cartridge, and don’t need to connect to WiFi.
Other quality of life upgrades include wireless headphone support, which makes it even better for gaming on the go.
