Trump’s 5 shocking moments that sparked major health fears – ‘Unhinged!’ | World | News
US President Donald Trump once again boasted that he “aced” health checks as he attempts to fend off speculation about his health.
Speaking on Saturday, Trump said he’s “aced” several cognitive exams and is in “perfect health.”
He added: “I did something no other president’s ever done. I took cognitive tests because I know that, and by the way, it’s not easy.”
However, there have recently been 5 shocking moments that only sparked more questions about Trump’s condition.
The most recent was his address to the US on Wednesday, where he attempted to blame his predecessor, Joe Biden, for the struggling American economy.
He also made misleading claims about the economy under the previous administration.
Democrat Congressman and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said: “It was an unhinged speech that was, of course, untethered from reality and truth.”
Trump also sparked concern after he sued the BBC over an edited version of his speech to supporters in Washington on January 6, 2021. The BBC admitted the edit gave “the mistaken impression” Trump had “made a direct call for violent action”, but disagreed that this warranted a defamation claim.
But Trump later made a bizarre claim that the BBC used “AI or something” to “put terrible words in my mouth”.
British journalist Emily Maitlis said the comments showed Trump’s “self-delusion”, adding: “They were all his words. They were all in the speech. There was no AI. They were words that came from his mouth. So just put that one to bed.”
Trump also attracted negative headlines when he appeared to fall asleep in a Cabinet meeting earlier this month.
Governor of California Gavin Newsom branded the President ‘Dozy Don’. Trump denied he had fallen asleep.
On a number of occasions, Trump has also mixed up Albania and Armenia when discussing the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
He said: “I solved wars that [were] unsolvable. Azerbaijan and Albania, it was going on for many, many years, I had the prime ministers and presidents in my office.”
Lastly, Trump has been seen numerous times with a bruised hand. The White House confirmed he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has said Trump’s bruises are a result of him shaking a lot of people’s hands.
Trump’s MRI scan came back with “perfectly normal” results.
