UK solar energy firm plunges into administration – ‘fantastic company’ | UK | News
A solar company loved by its customers has plunged into administration this week. Customers said UK Solar Experts, which installs and manufactures solar panels, provided the best customer service they have ever received.
However, on February 10, the Manchester-based business appointed joint administrators Mike Dillon and Hilary Pascoe of Leonard Curtis, as reported in The Gazette. According to Trustpilot, the company had been merged into Titan Energy Systems, a solar company also based in Middleton, to strengthen its service and deliver customer support. It described itself as a leader in home solar installation.
It may come as a blow to the area, as UK Solar Experts received several sterling online reviews, with a 4.2 rating on Googlefrom more than 100 reviews, where customers praised its service levels.
One wrote: “I enquired about solar panels as I was finally ready to invest, and within a week they were installed and up and running. Don’t think you could ask for a better service than that. When you ring them you speak to a human.”
Another customer described it as a “fantastic customer focused company”, writing: “I have never had a service of such a high standard from any other company my whole life. Thank you all for an amazing job and making the whole experience delightful.”
It joins several other businesses that have appointed administrators in February. A British property development and management company, Calmont Homes, appointed joint administrators the day before UK Solar Experts on February 9.
With offices in Scotland and the north and south of England, it has delivered a mix of residential, commercial and leisure projects for 20 years, according to its website.
A carpentry firm based in Suffolk, A.L.N. Carpentry & Joinery, also recently appointed administrators, as reported on The Gazette. It carried out work on properties across East Anglia and South East England, such as flooring, joists and decking.
