Police have launched an urgent investigation after one man had an “unknown substance” thrown in his eyes before another man was stabbed in what is being described as a “targeted attack”. Durham police officers said that the men were attacked in Ferryhill, County Durham, at 10.30am on Wednesday.
A 49-year-old man suffered eye injuries when the substance was thrown in his face before a man aged 44 was stabbed. According to the officials, both men are currently admitted to the hospital for the further treatment.
