Victoria Beckham Beauty launches early Black Friday sale with 20% off
Fans of Victoria Beckham Beauty will know the brand rarely has any sales, but the premium makeup brand has launched its own early Black Friday event ahead of the big day on Friday the 28th. As part of the promotion, shoppers can get 20% off across the website – but only until the end of the weekend.
The site-wide promotion is a perfect opportunity for beauty enthusiasts curious about the ex-Spice Girl’s brand to try some of its products, and a great way for fans to stock up on their favourites. At the same time, if you’re shopping for Christmas presents, the products make for great stocking fillers.
All you have to do is shop as normal, and the 20% discount will automatically be deducted at online checkout, reports The Mirror.
The sale includes the highly-praised Satin Kajal Liner, which is currently reduced from £32 to £25.60. The fan favourite is described to have a creamy, smudge-free formula, and comes in a wide range of shades, including mattes and ones with shimmer. There are 22 in total, and they range from muted earthy tones to vivid blues and purples.
The liner also claims to be waterproof, and includes a blending tool on the other end that can be used to create a smoky-eye look, perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
It is a hit with shoppers in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, and is getting rave reviews on the brand’s website. One said: “I gave up on eyeliner until now. I’m 72 and applying makeup as you age is difficult, especially eyeliner, but not anymore.”
A second shopper, in their 60s, said: “These eyeliners are my ride or die. They are perfect for mature eyes with more loose skin. The formula is creamy, soft and blends like a dream and you have perfect time to play around before they set and when they set, they stay where you want them to stay.”
The only issue some have highlighted is that the eyeliner is very creamy, which allows it to smudge. As this is a kajal formula, which is typically quite soft, people who prefer more precise lines instead of a smoky eye may want to opt for something like a liquid eyeliner.
Another popular product is the BabyBlade Microfine brow pencil, which promises to fill out thinning eyebrows while nourishing them. It usually retails at £32, but shoppers can snap it up for £25.60.
The pencil comes in six shades (although light brown is currently out of stock), and has a microfine tip that helps users draw precise, hair-like lines exactly where they need them. The other end has a spoolie for combing through the brows to ensure a polished yet natural look.
The formula is enriched with camellia and rosehip oils, known for their antioxidant and moisturising properties, aiming to nourish brow hairs and help brows look and feel fuller and bolder. It also promises to be smudge and fade-proof to ensure it lasts all day.
Fans of the eyebrow pencil are praising it online, with one saying it’s “really easy to apply and looks really natural”.
Another said: “I’m in my 50s, so brows are now a little patchy in places. This has a tiny precision brush head which allows any rough hand to do a decent job at filling in and defining the shape.”
One drawback several users pointed out was that there is no way to sharpen the pencil if it goes blunt. One said: “The pencil doesn’t stay pointy for long and it becomes more of an ordinary pencil rather than a blade.” Another suggested “a built in sharpener would be a good idea”.
Another highlight of the sale is the brand’s Posh Balm, which is down from £30 to £24. It’s a nourishing tinted lip balm that promises 24-hour hydration and a subtle wash of colour. It comes in five shades, including Posh Spice’s favourite Cassis hue, a sheer blackcurrant.
The balm is a great winter staple, as it’s formulated with hydrating cucumber seed extract and murumuru seed butter, which claims to protect the skin barrier and help lips retain moisture to prevent chapping.
If you find lipstick too drying in winter, the balm is lightly pigmented and buildable, allowing users to personalise how deep they want it. The brand also claims there’s “no mirror needed” to reapply it, which can also be very handy.
A fan online confirmed this in their five-star review, saying: “Easy to wear and take along for the day with no mirror. The lightest one does nothing for color, but the red and purple are awesome for a little transparent pop. They all stay put longer than a chap stick but have less glide. I really like them!”
Several users found an issue with the packaging, warning that it does not retract. One said: “Wasn’t aware and tried to bring it down only to find out too late that you can’t. So be careful.”
Another shopper said they were “underwhelmed” with the product, adding: “The colours and effects are quite bland.” Shoppers should keep in mind that the product is a balm designed to be sheer so it’s not likely to have much of a colour payoff. For more intense colour, the Posh Lipstick (which is currently down from £37 to £29.60) might be a better choice.
