Virgin Media is dishing out a free TV upgrade and you can get it today

There’s good news for Virgin TV customers. The popular UK service provider has confirmed a content boost is now available at no extra cost. The update is thanks to Virgin’s TV Ultra HD channel being made available to all telly users rather than just those on certain premium packages. This upgrade is available from today, Saturday March 28, and will remain on all screens until Sunday, 12 April.

So what’s available to view on this channel?

Those tuning in will get access to family-friendly movies, iconic rock and roll gigs and a diverse range of documentaries, advert-free, every evening.

Films and docuseries that will be available include Playmobil: The Movie starring Daniel Radcliffe, The Invisible Man starring Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Cobra Kai season one and the The Last Turtles – a documentary and video series documenting the work of Dominica Sea Turtle Conservation Organisation.

There’s also the chance to watch Rolling Stones: Olé Olé Olé – A Trip Across Latin America: This film follows The Rolling Stones across South America and Mexico, and finally ends with their historical concert in Cuba.

Speaking about the changes, David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “Virgin Media’s ultrafast broadband network delivers the best possible way to enjoy crystal-clear TV entertainment, and with the availability of our exclusive UHD channel to all our TV customers at no extra cost over the Easter fortnight, we are hoping to brighten their springtime. The long weekend and school holidays offer an opportunity for many of us to spend some extra quality time together, and we know that our customers will find something fun and informative to enjoy with our latest TV boost.”

This isn’t the only upgrade coming to Virgin users.

All new and existing Virgin TV 360 and Stream box customers who already have access to Sky’s Entertainment channels will also gain access to Sky Atlantic, Sky’s channel best known for showcasing premium US TV dramas, such as Succession, The White Lotus, Game of Thrones and The Sopranos.

Virgin said this means more than a million Brits are set to get the channel, with access beginning on April 1, 2026. It will be available on channel 111.
