Woman and boy ‘hit by tram in major’ in major UK city | UK | News
A woman and a boy have reportedly been hit by a tram in south Manchester, with emergency services rushing to the scene. Emergeny services including the police, paramedics and fire crews rushed to the Metrolink stop at Didsbury Village shortly before 8pm.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene at around 7.40pm and that the adult woman had been treated by paramedics at the scene before going to hospital, reports Manchester Evening News. Tram services were brought to a standstill between St Werburgh’s Road and East Didsbury after a collision that caused disruption in both directions. Emergency services attended the scene, where a teenage boy was reported to have suffered minor injuries, while a woman was taken to hospital with back injuries for further treatment.
