Woman gobsmacked by ‘hidden luxury’ she finds at Heathrow Airport | Travel News | Travel
A travel lover has been wowed after discovering “a whole new level of luxury” at Heathrow Airport, and she has shared her experience.
Going on holiday is an amazing experience and, while many of us don’t mind flying, after a few hours of sitting in the cramped seats, it can get uncomfortable. So you may often dream of what it would be like to be sipping on champagne with plenty of leg room in a premium seat. Plus, you may be celebrating a special occasion and want to enjoy an upgrade for one time only.
One woman was shocked to learn that there is an experience at Heathrow Airport where you can be treated “like royalty”. She was invited to enjoy the experience, and has shared her honest thoughts about if it’s worth it or not.
Heathrow Airport describes it as: “A unique and luxurious service – offering a seamless and memorable journey through Heathrow. Private, personal and exclusive, this is the ultimate airport experience.” However, it will set you back a hefty price.
The Windsor Suite at Heathrow, located in Terminal 5, is priced at approximately £3,812 for up to three guests. Not only can you get picked up from your home and taken directly to the airport, but you can enjoy an entire suite to yourself, or with guests, without being disturbed by members of the public.
On TikTok, @maybetamsin said: “Turns out there’s a whole new level of luxury at Heathrow. Did anyone else know about the Windsor Suite or it it just me who had no clue? Thank you Heathrow VIP.
“Until recently, I just thought the Concorde Room was the pinacle of luxury at Heathrow, turns out it’s not. There’s apparently something called the Windsor Suite which I’m trying for the first time today.”
Tamsin said she was flying out to Ghana for her best friend’s wedding with her husband. Stunned by what she discovered, Tamsin said: “This experience is more than just good. This experience is everything a taurus wants when they travel. The service was originally built for VIPs and royals.”
Explaining what was on her itinerary, she said: “We had a driver pick us up from our house, take us straight to the Windsor Suite, which is a separate terminal off T5. The minute I arrived, I was greeted by a very nice man in a top hat who took away my suitcases. They take your passports and they deal with the whole check in and boarding process for you.”
She added: “You’re then escorted to your own, private lounge where at a touch of a button, somebody just appears and does stuff for you. Jason Atherton does the full menu and you can order as much food and drink as you like.”
She was also amazed by the shopping experience. Tamsin said she just pressed a button and a personal shopper appeared. She explained: “She took us down some private routes so we could go shopping without having to deal with too many people.”
She also noted that, before getting on the plane, she and her husband went through a private security area in the terminal, before being chauffeured to the plane. Once they got to the plane, they bypassed everyone in the queue and did not have to carry their own luggage. “At one point we forgot we were in an airport,” she expressed. “I did feel really bad because the queue was huge, but it’s part of the process.”
“God, so jealous,” commented one person. Another added: “This. This is the level of rich I want to be.”
“The top hat and tails is wild England is a crazy place,” commented another. “Babe, this is luxe,” said another.
Tasmin, still in shock, said: “I really need to get my money up, I can’t believe people live like this.”
