If you’re heading on holiday to Europe this summer, you might already be worrying about overcrowding in top destinations. 

A travel blogger recently told Express.co.uk that one of Italy’s top attractions was incredibly chaotic.

But not every country is experiencing the same problems. These are the world’s least touristy countries based on the number of tourists compared to residents. 

The figures are based on UNWTO data from 2019. Some of the countries on this list are on the UK Government’s ‘Don’t Travel’ list but not the world’s least touristy.
